JOB PURPOSE
The Multi-Skilled Technician monitors the condition of production electrical and instrumentations, control equipment and related devices.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs preventive maintenance and calibration checks of instrumentation and measuring equipment.
Repairs and maintenance of laboratory apparatus and weighing scales.
Design automation programs for new, or modify existing, automated machinery to support UMS.
Reviews and analyses any automation and system integrator service quality problem and ensure solution to that problem is provided.
Keeps an updated record of monitored equipment condition, calibration and repair activities.
Follows Good Manufacturing Practices, safety procedures and guidelines and company rules and regulations.
Informs the Line Manager or Production Maintenance Supervisor on all matters affecting plant equipment calibration, repairs etc. Prepares and report summary of shift activities he executed
Performs wiring installations, instrumentation works and other related jobs including electrical/ladder diagram updating.
Operates equipment and machines as an urgent reliever and/or as necessary.
Comply with the Maintenance methodology and foundations towards Zero Breakdown Concept and use of SAP-PM as system tools on Asset and Job order management.
Performs Breakdown Analysis as necessary during major breakdown.
Adapts him/herself to the use of learning tools like Breakdown Analysis (BDA), One Point Lesson (OPL) and be a subject matter Expert in any technical subject in his area of responsibility (SME)
Willing to share his knowledge on maintaining equipment and basic technique to production operators in order to eliminate force deterioration of machines.
Performs other functions as may be assigned by superior from time to time.
Work in staggered Rest days as required by his position/function.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics Technology
Preferably with Registered Master Electrician License or certification as instrument/automation engineer
At least 1 year experience in instrumentation and calibration.
