ResponsibilitiesPOSITION SUMMARY:
We are currently hiring a Technician to support our global software client onsite in Boise, ID. This role is technical in nature and the ideal candidate would benefit from experience in an ever-evolving R&D team culture. In this role, you will both operate and be responsible for the maintenance and repair of soldering process equipment as support for our clients’ R&D LaserJet development activities. This is a full-time, long-term position with day shift available working at the client-site with a Monday through Friday work week.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Assembly and modifications of custom assemblies utilizing bill of materials, schematics, wire diagrams, instruction sheet and/or verbal instructions.Work and communicate directly with client employees.Handle scheduling of assigned work.Be the knowledge base for all department systems and processes.Perform additional duties as assigned. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of electronic principles and ability to trouble shoot to the board level.Ability to learn quickly, follow directions and thrive in a work environment that changes frequently.Able to work from schematics, BOMs, wire diagrams and similar documentation. Exposure to manual soldering.Excellent eye-hand coordination. Ability to work utilizing a microscope.Requires ability to distinguish between color coded electronic components and wire sets.Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with others and present a professional and positive attitude.Must be a self-starter with strong initiative.A strong mechanical aptitude. Familiarity working with various hand tools (i.e. crimpers, drill, wire strippers).Strong attention to detail, highly organized, computer literate.Good communication skills. Ability to lift 30lbs. Work on equipment requiring bending, squatting and laying down.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in hand soldering SMT and through-hole components with workmanship capable of meeting IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards.Formal training in electronics theory and application.Work experience troubleshooting electronic/mechanical systems.Proficiency using computers with emphasis on Microsoft applications, Word, Excel and Access. Experience of operating and maintenance on soldering process equipment (i.e. BGA rework systems, Ovens, Board wash).In lieu of desired qualifications and/or prior experience, you must have a strong willingness to learn and be able to demonstrate a propensity in hand soldering.WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER:
