Annual Wage Range: $53,600.00 - $73,700.00

Job DescriptionGrace is hiring a Technician Specialist to join the Analytical Services Center (ASC), located in Curtis Bay/Baltimore, MD. As a Technician Specialist, you will report to the Chemical Laboratory Chemist and be a member of a highly engaged team.
This position is onsite with the ability to work a rotating shift schedule which consists of five 8-hour shifts, covering a full 24/7/365 schedule (day, night, weekend and holidays). Overtime may be required, however, expected to be minimal.
Responsibilities Assists engineers and scientists with a variety of laboratory tasks. Performs chemical analyses and scientific tests using both routine and techniques in compliance with all safety standards. Logs in customer and internal samples Collects, analyzes and processes laboratory samples. Records results of tests, organizes data, performs basic computations, and prepares reports and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines. Active participation in required local safety program, along with the ability to work safely and maintain a clean and orderly lab environment. Operates, maintains and makes basic repairs laboratory test equipment, apparatus, systems and supplies. Operates and maintains testing equipment Provides technical product support to customers. Provides a basic level of product knowledge, assists in trouble shooting, basic start up, and proper application. Accountable for compliance with all Critical Life Safety Policies, Environmental, Health and Safety training, policies and procedures.Required Qualifications BS in a STEM discipline, with Chemistry highly preferred. Knowledge in basic chemistry and math. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols and guidance. . Ability to work independently and self-directed with a proven ability to work according to changing priorities. Demonstrated strong written and oral communications skills Physical Requirements and Environment Ability to follow safety protocols and standards working in a laboratory environment with highly hazardous materials Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
