Job Summary

Engineering Store Specialist 1 is responsible for managing the engineering store's inventory, ensuring proper storage, issuance, and tracking of spare parts, tools, and consumables. This role ensures efficient stock control, maintains accurate records, and supports the maintenance team by ensuring the timely availability of necessary materials.

Key Responsibility

Store & Inventory Management

Receive, inspect, and store engineering spare parts, tools, and consumables.Maintain accurate inventory records using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or ERP software.Conduct stock checks and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent shortages.Label, categorize, and organize stock for easy identification and retrieval.Ensure proper handling, stacking, and storage of materials to prevent damage.

Issuance & Stock Control

Issue materials and spare parts as per approved requisitions.Keep track of material usage and update stock levels regularly.Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and raise purchase requisitions when necessary.Prevent unauthorized access and maintain security of store inventory.

Procurement & Supplier Coordination

Assist in sourcing, ordering, and following up on purchases with the procurement team.Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.Verify received goods against purchase orders and report discrepancies.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to material handling and storage.Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for hazardous materials.Follow proper waste disposal and recycling practices in line with environmental policies.

Reporting & Documentation

Maintain records of receipts, stock movement, and issued materials.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.Keep documentation of supplier invoices, delivery notes, and requisition forms.

Qualification :Minimum SKM3 / Diploma / Professional Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.2-3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or engineering store operations.Basic technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills.Proficiency in CMMS, SAP, or ERP software for inventory management.Understanding of spare parts classification and stock control best practices.Knowledge of engineering components, mechanical/electrical spare parts, and tools.
