. MAJOR FUNCTION: Perform routine medical laboratory testing procedures using a variety of laboratory
instrumentation. Responsible for the performing and resulting of specimens received
from patients who may range in age from neonate, pediatric, adults to geriatric. Responsible for maintaining proper quality control procedures, instrumentation against established standards, operate the laboratory information system. Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, medical staff, and the public. Perform any other duties necessary to run an efficient and effective laboratory
QUALIFICATION:
A. Education: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
B. Experience: 1 to 3 years clinical laboratory experience preferred.
C. Certification/Licensure: MT/ CLS (ASCP) certified or eligible. ASCP or equivalent, certified or eligible required.
Certification must be achieved within 9 months after hire date.
