Position Summary As a Research and Development (R&D) Technologist you will be responsible for laboratory testing and design qualification towards product changes and brand-new launches within Auto Care. You will support projects related to Cost, Quality, Supply challenges, and New Product Developments. You will operate within the Global R&D organisation and form part of a small team at the Rassau manufacturing site. The R&D Technologist is a full-time, permanent position offered by The Company. Responsibilities Main duties of the position Operate in a safe manner within R&D laboratory and throughout Rassau site Undertake routine and non-routine laboratory testing; formulates chemical mixes Operate laboratory equipment responsibly and accurately Perform product performance testing adopting qualitative and quantitative assessments. This can be an external environment duty and requires physical capability Conform to and create documented test method SOPs and specifications Responsible for completing technical documentation, including written project reports Serve a Project Team Member as required; be directed by Project Leaders and Managers Liaise with on-site and virtual cross-functional teams as needed; communication via Teams calls and E-mail Ensure housekeeping of the R&D laboratory meets acceptable levels Carry out any other duties in line with the position as and when required What we are looking for Candidate Profile Bachelor’s Degree in pertinent scientific subject or equivalent Experience in a range of laboratory activities and chemical mixing Attention to detail, accurate Must be computer literate (Microsoft Applications, inc. Outlook) Experience in data analysis and presentation; statistical skills desirable Flexible and accepting of changeable priorities Able to work independently and manage own workload An interest in Auto Care applications is beneficial Personable; able and willing to verbally communicate widely Possess a positive and proactive approach Committed to working safely at all times Come join us!
