We are looking for a Technologist CT to join our team of devoted caregivers. The Technologist CT is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures on patients using radiation to examine body structures and tissue.

Job DetailsPerforms computerized axial tomography (CT) procedures.Obtains patient history and clinical data for correlation with exams. Scans all required paperwork into the RIS system. Compiles exam for reading by radiologist.Critiques exam for film quality and proper identification.Documents reasons for any variation in procedure.Communicates with patients throughout exam. Assists patients, explains exam to patient and/or responsible party.Complies with OSHA and hospital infection control policies.Works unassisted; responds to calls on various shifts.Keeps manager informed of equipment/safety problems.Identifies, transports, lifts and positions patients for exams.Performs duties of a radiologic technologist as required and qualified.Exercises professional judgment in performance of procedure and patient care. Communicates with referring physician.Evaluates patients for age-appropriate behavior, motor skills and physiological norms.Assesses patients for signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect and reports findings to radiologist or staff physician.Follows safe radiation practices in selection of radiographic techniques and protective shielding to self and patient.Performs receptionist functions and clerical duties, film filing and purging.Controls inventory and purchase of supplies as assigned.Maintains cleanliness of room; stocks supplies.Performs quality assurance duties as assigned.Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure (ARRT must obtain within one year of appointment to position). Maintains CPR (BLS).Follows hospital/system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.Other duties as assigned
