Your Qualifications

Education

•        Technical community college or equivalent level of education in related discipline.

 

Experience

•        Minimum 4 years manufacturing support

•        Basic bearing design, e.g.: bearing spreadsheet, design guidelines, T158, T241

•        Blueprint/ CAD reading

•        Process planning – creation/ maintenance

•        Material Master (SAP) item file, BOM – creation/ maintenance

•        SAP number registry, material order review

•        MS Office, MS Access

Your Key Responsibilities

Calculation
Create and maintain standardized quotation values (SAW) and calculations for the Customer Quotation (RFQ) process and Product Development Process (PEP).
Create analysis and measures for setup and cycle times, materials, etc. with the goal of reducing costs.
Support the annual capital investment budget planning process as requested. 
Provide costed bills of material for annual budget planning (KHK/STK).
Complete cost comparisons (make or buy) and weak point analysis (e.g. value analysis, margin optimization, etc.) for different product variants.
Prepare product profitability (PPA) calculation within the order process (RFQ).
Provide, support and maintain the calculation system, method, master data and calculation process guidelines. The guidelines are used for: comparison of costs, weak points analysis, budget planning, RFQ/PPA, SAW series calculation, and relocation calculation.

Order Independent Master Data
Create and maintain manufacturing process master data including routings, bills of material, and production version in appropriate system (e.g. SAP).
Maintain material master data including material status, batch size, type of procurement, etc.
Create and maintain manufacturing master data including work center, work center hierarchy, allocation of capacity models in appropriate system (e.g SAP).

Work Preparation
Support the assessment of manufacturability of new products.
Participate in FMEAs (mistake-possibility-influence-analysis).  
Realize and ensure the standards and methods for the workplace creation by using the MOVE principles (Methods: MTM, REFA, and ergonomics).
Execute process changes. Determine investments needed from analysis of workplaces, capacity and downtimes.
Create and maintain routings for bill of materials and production versions.
Define, collect and communicate key figures and measurements.  Control the implementation of the measurement and prepare reports about the measurement results.
Communicate requirements to control production system.  Request the needed methods/guidelines and key figures to steer the production system
Maintain setup and cycle times. Implement the methods to meet the target times.

Workplace Design
Define and communicate the processes, tools and methods that are used by MTM within the production improvements.
Execute time and motion studies based on MTM.
Optimize new and existing workplace designs based on MTM. Assess investment and conduct process changes.
Execute time studies and workplace design with dedicated software (TICON).
Define processes, tools and methods to use REFA within the production optimizations.
Optimized workplace design based on MOVE principles/ MTM for new workplace design and optimization, conduct process changes, and assess investments for workplaces.
Perform ergonomic inspections (ErgoMap), support of risk analysis, resolve documented ergonomic risks, and support of Ergonomic Workshops. Approve ergonomic designs.
Provide communication, knowledge transfer, and professional support of ergonomic network (according to defined interfaces).

Work Methods
Define and communicate methods and key figures for cycle time and setup time analysis and optimization.
Define and evaluate the methods and key figures to define, analyze and optimize production specifications with regards to costs, quality and scheduling.

Product Development (PEP)
Support product development projects (PEP 2 and PEP 3 per procedure P170112) as assigned.
