Technology Apprenticeship Program Lead

This role aims to foster continuous learning within a self-organized agile team, where individuals will focus on developing new skills. As the Technology Apprentice Leader, you will strategically align apprentices according to their skills to maximize their impact on projects. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with leadership and delivery teams to analyze capacity and demand in the short and long term, ensuring appropriate task assignments. Your responsibilities will also include onboarding new apprentice consultants and providing training to enable effective partnerships and collaboration with Chubb Engineering Centers. By leveraging your exceptional leadership and communication skills, you will cultivate strong relationships with internal clients, resulting in increased customer and employee satisfaction and retention. Your focus will be on identifying, nurturing, and retaining adult learners to drive organizational success and promote a culture that values collaboration, and team unity.

Major Duties and Responsibilities                   

Apprentice Coordination- Oversee the assignment of apprentices to projects, ensuring a good fit between project requirements and apprentice skills, and supporting their professional development.

Consulting Leadership- Establish and lead this internal consulting engine, developing processes, tools, and best practices to effectively manage and deploy technology apprentices.

Client/Stakeholder Engagement- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal clients and HR counterparts, understanding their project needs and matching these with the skills of apprentices.

Project Oversight- Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions to internal clients.

Performance Measurement- Implement and manage performance metrics for both projects and apprentices, ensuring high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Apprentice Development- Assess the development of apprentices, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them grow into associate roles.

People Management- Utilize strong people mentorship and management skills to foster a supportive and developmental environment for apprentices, focusing on their journey from apprentices to full-time associates.

Strategic Planning- Develop and execute strategic plans for the PMO, aligning with broader organizational goals and the objectives of the Technology Learning division.

Continuous Improvement & Feedback Loops- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the apprentice consulting practice.

Stakeholder Communication- Maintain regular communication with internal clients, apprentices, and senior leadership to provide updates, manage expectations, and address any issues.

Apprentice Technical Skills Learning- Foster the development of essential technology skills in aspiring professionals, empowering them to thrive in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Chubb is seeking an experienced professional who can advance the strategy, execution, and outcomes of Global Technology Early Career Talent Acquisition practices and efforts in partnership with key stakeholders.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and HR management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in managing technology projects and teams is essential.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is preferred.

Strong understanding of technology and its applications in business. Ability to assess technical project requirements and match them with available skills.

Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams, particularly in a project-based environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong client focus with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional service.

Exceptional people mentorship/ management skills with experience in talent development, performance management, and fostering employee growth.

Experience in managing or participating in apprenticeship, workforce development or internship programs preferred.

Experience working in or with consulting firms, particularly in a technology context preferred.

Experience in leading change management initiatives and driving organizational transformation preferred.

Familiarity with managing certifications and ensuring apprentices meet necessary standards preferred.
