The objective of this role is to actively partner with the BD Interventional Segment Business Leaders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Technology & Global Services (TGS) teams to understand strategic priorities and complete the associated work deliverables/projects to advance those objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities will include:
Develop a deep knowledge of the BDI Business Segment Commercial Processes and Applications including short and long-term roadmaps, key projects, and industry leadership
Establish and earn value-adding, partner relationship maturity for yourself and for the entire TGS function
Partner with the BD Interventional Segment Business Leaders and SMEs to plan new initiatives, evaluate proposals, and resolve how they fit into roadmaps and priorities
Identify and define new opportunities to use technology and/or process re-design to advance business strategies that directly contribute to driving revenue growth, cost optimization and/or risk mitigation and compliance
Develop strategies for optimal deployment and adoption of new technology capabilities, services and solutions across the business and/or the end-customers
Advocate for the business within TGS, and advocate for TGS within the business - the primary representative and accountable party for TGS services across business stakeholders
Work with other TGS business partner teams and external partner teams to define, document, analyze and prioritize existing and emerging business requirements
Complete the projects/improvements/results needed to implement technology, processes, or services to meet business requirements including the documentation, testing and implementation
Work with and facilitate TGS partner teams to ensure delivery provides the desired outcomes
Work with other TGS Business Partners and TGS Core Areas of Delivery Teams to ensure that solutions are not siloed and that they are informed by, and are integrated with, BD’s Enterprise Roadmaps
Complete projects and report progress, including consistent and effective communication, organizational change impact analysis, readiness and effectiveness, cutover and launch support. This includes handling concerns and mitigating risk
Measure and communicate value realized on a periodic basis through defined and agreed upon metrics and supporting analysis
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong business relationship management skills, a strategic understanding, and a blend of business and technology experience. Furthermore, they should demonstrate outstanding relationship building abilities and a problem-solving approach. In addition, this person should also possess:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in technology, business or a related field is strongly preferred. Master’s degree highly desirable.
8+ years of proven ability in a Business and Technology function with focus in Sales and Marketing (Commercial) Capabilities required.
Accomplished in multiple Commercial process and technology capabilities, including but not limited to: Customer Relationship Management (CRM) (Salesforce), Website Content Development (Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)), Marketing Automation (Adobe Marketo), eCommerce (SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2)), Pricing and Contract Management (Conga (Apttus) CLM, i5, Vendavo), Field Service Management (ServiceMax), etc.
Proficiency in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) documentation, testing and release cycle protocols including business requirements documentation, test scenarios/data/execution, cutover, and hypercare
Expertise in Project Management fundamentals: charter, case development, project management plan and schedule, partner management, communication planning, risk/issue management, status reporting and running team calls
Experience delivering technology and workplace solutions in a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical regulated environment with solid knowledge of relevant Quality/Regulatory standards (i.e. cGxP, CFR Part 11, etc.)
Understanding of Change Management principles and methodologies and with experience to formulate new programs with excitement and engagement
Proficiency in understanding the mapping of organizational vision and contribute ideas; engage, analyze and solve sophisticated business problems through recommended Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
Ability to partner across senior leaders, influence and break down silos to foster transparency and collaboration
Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and in overcoming ambiguity
Highly collaborative work style which includes working effectively across all organizational levels; Aptitude to partner across senior leaders, influence and break down silos to foster transparency and collaboration
Execution mentality to lead several parallel work tracks according to firm timelines
Excellent judgment and decision-making with superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and social skills, with the ability to communicate optimally and persuasively at all levels, both verbally and in writing (communicate sophisticated business / technical challenges in a simplified, concise manner)
Strong humility, listening, creativity, and negotiation skills
