Job Title: Technology Engineer - MUST HAVE YOUR RCDD Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technology Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing and implementing various systems, including telecommunications, intercommunications, security management, and video management systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both technical specifications and practical applications. Responsibilities + Design telecommunications and structured cabling systems, with RCDD certification as a plus. + Develop intercommunications and paging systems, specifically oriented towards K12 environments. + Create classroom audio visual systems, including assistive listening devices. + Manage security management systems (ACS/IDS), with a focus on door hardware coordination and CSI Division 08 specifications. PSP and/or CPP certification is beneficial. + Design and implement video management systems (VMS), considering network impact and storage/retention solutions. + Edit and craft Division 27 and Division 28 (CSI) specifications. + Create addenda, respond to RFIs and substitution requests, and generate supplemental instructions and price requests for design adjustments during bid/construction activities. + Prepare observation reports and punch lists. Essential Skills + 6+ years of relevant experience preferred. + Proficient in Autodesk’s Revit and AutoCAD platforms for technology design. + Thorough understanding of electrical power distribution systems and lighting design. + Experience with BIM, lighting design, power distribution, installation, engineering, and process control systems. + Ability to edit and craft detailed technical specifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with BIM/Standards Development is advantageous. Work Environment The work environment includes both office settings and construction sites. A valid driver's license is required. The position may expose the employee to job site hazards. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
