Technology Lead - IT (Databricks) (REMOTE)

As a Technology Lead - IT you will lead, mentor and develop a team of technical analysts and/or developers on technology related products, projects, and initiatives. You will work with all customers, both internal and external, to make sure all needs are met by the new or improved implemented system. You may work with other technical teams across the organization as required to deliver proposed solutions.

Responsibilities:

Works with project managers, business analysts, content specialists, digital product owners, and others to identify new features for the eCommerce platform. Determines technical specifications and approaches for new features, conducting code reviews and mentors other developers. Leading other team members in the establishment of internal best practices such as coding standards, peer reviews, code management, release management, environment management, process flows, and documentation. Troubleshoots production issues of all levels and severities, assigns to developers as appropriate and tracks progress. Maintains culture of open communication, collaboration, mutual respect and productive behaviors; participates in the hiring, training, and retention of top tier talent and mentors team members to new and fulfilling career experiences. Identifies risks, barriers, efficiencies and opportunities when thinking through development approach; presents possible platform-wide architectural solutions based on facts, data, and best practices. Explores all technical options when considering solution, including homegrown coding, third-party sub-systems, enterprise platforms, and existing technology components. Actively participates in collaborative effort through all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, release, and customer technical support. Develops technical documentation, such as system context diagrams, design documents, release procedures, and other pertinent artifacts. Leads efforts with third party vendor selection based on digital roadmap and requirements, including initial research and identification, selection and contributing to contractual discussions. Leads efforts with the management of third party technology partners, including assignments, service level agreements, quality standards, work product and other deliverables as detailed in contractual agreements. Understands lifecycle of various technology sub-systems that comprise eCommerce platform (i.e., version, release, roadmap), including current capabilities, compatibilities, limitations, and dependencies; understands and advises of optimal upgrade paths. Establishes relationships with key IT, QA, and other corporate partners, and regularly communicates and collaborates accordingly while working on cross-functional projects or production issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in eCommerce, eBusiness, information technology or related field preferred. 5 years required, 7 years preferred experience in technical leadership role in the IT or digital fields.   5 years required, 7 years preferred experience Architecture activities such as evaluation of options, design and implementation (i.e., service oriented architecture). 5 years required, 7 years preferred experience in enterprise eCommerce platforms. Expertise in code management and continuous integrations systems. Expertise in intake and task management tools. Expertise of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Strong working knowledge in databases. Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies. Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Basic understanding of budgets including processing invoices and other financial documents through accounting processes and practices.
