Job Description
Client – DNA – Technology Lead– US – Tableau
In the role of Technology Lead, you will be a technology professional adding value to a gamut of Software Development lifecycle stages. You will create detailed design artifacts like program specifications, test plans; and independently develop and review code and contribute to the go-live plan. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create innovative high quality and defect-free solutions to meet our clients’ business needs. Location for this position is Irvine,CA. This position will require relocation to other Client locations.
Qualifications
Basic
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 2 years of experience with Tableau out of Total IT experience.
Mandatory Technical Skills
• Skills: Tableau 8.x, 9.x
• Very strong in Report Visualization and Dashboard hands on experience
• Very good in data blending, defining the outline from database schema
• Strong in SQL
• Should have worked on large data sets and experience with performance tuning
• Should be able to work independently with minimum involvement from client SMEs
• Exposure to Hadoop ecosystem
• Should have Unix scripting experience
• Strong knowledge on Database like DB2,Oracle, Hadoop DBs
• Must be able understand data modelling, schema and map to data elements of reports
• Experience on Tableau extract creation, creating report objects, integration, test planning, testing and implementation support
• Understanding and experience in administration activities for Tableau infrastructure
• Understanding and experience in Kognitio
Preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in DW/BI related technologies and tools
• At least 2 years of experience in software development life cycle
• At least 2 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects
• At least 2 years of experience in Design
• Experience on Tableau Server environment
• Tableau Certified developer
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience to Financial domain
• Analytical skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
