Currently, we are seeking experienced Technology Leads, with Mainframe experience, for the Metropolitan Atlanta, GA area.
Position Description (scope of work or brief narrative):
Contributes to requirements gathering, creation of application architecture document and design artifacts; deliver high quality codes, activities related to implementation & transition; interface with internal team & key stakeholders; analyze and resolve issues to ensure high quality deliverables within the guidelines, policies and norms of Client Public Services.
Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum of 6 years of Mainframe experience and excellent understanding of COBOL, JCL, DB2 and CICS.
•At least 6 years of experience in design, development, testing, deployment of applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2 and CICS.
•Excellent knowledge of Design methods and tools, Configuration and Release Management methods and tools, Knowledge of Testing methods and tools, Knowledge of Build, Knowledge of Maintenance and Support methods.
•Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.
•Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Current ADP II security clearance.
•DoD / Tricare experience.
•Experience in Life Insurance domain
•Knowledge of ChangeMan and/or IBM File Manager and/or IBM Debug Tool
•Exposure to Agile methodology of project execution will be an added advantage
•Knowledge of mainframe SAS will be an added advantage.
•Experience working within Insurance domains.
•Ability to work within a diverse, multiple stakeholder environment.
The job entails sitting, as well as working, at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
