About Us

Located within the Group CTO organization, Technology Solutions develop internal Modular Technology Platforms primarily for battery-based Smart Locks. Our platforms enable rapid innovation, faster time-to-market, and offer premium security levels that meet upcoming security legislations. Our three core modular platforms are:

MBS: Hardware/Firmware MSF: Software mIoT: Connectivity (the link between MBS and MSF)

All our platforms are developed collaboratively using inner sourcing (internal open source) with centralized teams that maintain, lead, and form the architecture. We work closely with various ASSA ABLOY divisions and their business use cases to ensure our platforms meet real-world needs.

 

 

Your Role

As the Technology Manager IoT, you will act as the system architect and product owner for our MSF platforms, which handle device management of IoT devices, including both server/cloud and mobile apps (Android/iOS). Your primary use cases will include device configuration and communication with Smart Locks. You will define technical features, support the definition of an ecosystem for all product lifecycle phases (manufacturing, configuration/commissioning, operation, decommissioning), and break down end-to-end use cases into technical platform features.

 

Key Responsibilities

Act as Product Owner of the MSF Device Configuration Team and MSF Backend Team Serve as the system architect for device configuration use cases and backend parts of IoT connectivity Build a global understanding of customer needs through local divisions and customer insight activities, and translate these into product backlog activities Coordinate requirements between Technology Solutions and local/divisional software architects Design modular platforms and services to create robust, reusable, and shared components Drive pre-studies for new features/products/use cases Establish design guidelines and product policies for connected products, including security and data access policies Collaborate with and support internal ASSA ABLOY divisional projects

 

Who You Are

Driven and enthusiastic about technology Entrepreneurial and collaborative Agile in leadership and coaching, and an informal leader Experienced as a Product Owner within software-focused solutions Interested in software technology and business value of modular components and platform features Knowledgeable about IoT, software/cloud software development, firmware development, and mobile app development Experienced with global teams and matrix organizations Proficient in agile methodologies, preferably with experience in SAFe Hold an MSc in Computer Science or similar field Fluent in English, both written and spoken Willing to dive into code and analyze Have 5 years of work experience in similar fields

Location

This position is based in Stockholm and requires travel between these sites and occasionally throughout the ASSA ABLOY Group.
