Job Description:At Regions, the Technology Portfolio Liaison will support the intake of new initiatives from technology and the business unit to help determine capacity and sequencing. This role will execute intake, prioritization, and impact assessment activities in accordance with enterprise/technology Project Management Office (PMO) framework, policies, and standards. This role will also collaborate with the portfolio management team to recommend and support continuous improvement efforts.
Primary Responsibilities
Facilitates intake, prioritization, and readiness of requests/new initiatives
Conducts impact assessments to understand capacity
Evaluates new work requests to determine the preliminary scope, objectives, and alignment with strategic priorities
Analyzes capacity allocation and ensures teams have appropriate capacity and skills
Conducts departmental trade-off analysis as needed
Develops and maintains roadmaps reflecting annual forecasts and quarterly commitments
Supports/develops technology roadmaps, monitoring for end of life
Collaborates across multiple departments, engaging with stakeholders to ensure transparency, alignment, and seamless communication between teams
May work on multi-disciplinary projects and requires a broad knowledge of the bank and its functions
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Four (4) years of experience in information technology, project management, or a related area
Skills and Competencies
Ability to learn additional systems as needed
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Developed relationship-building skills
Intermediate knowledge of Technology Portfolio Management
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
2 years Risk experience preferred
Understands which metrics are beneficial and should be tracked, how these metrics should be interpreted and how the project course can be corrected even if the findings are showing risks
Banking/Finance experience a must
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham, AL or Charlotte, NC.
