**Your role and responsibilities**
A Technology Seller's mission in IBM is to accelerate the adoption of IBM technology with clear industry use-cases and expertise to ensure competitive differentiation in engagements directly with clients, IBM account teams, and /or through our sales ecosystem partners. With credibility as a knowledgeable market and industry advisor, you will earn client's trust and respect to become their strategic technology partner. Using the knowledge of your clients' business and industry you will identify and prioritize opportunity areas that will improve their business performance.
Being highly skilled in building and nurturing strategic client relationships, you will use your consultative style to drive the adoption and penetration of IBM's platforms through innovative solution recommendations that leverage IBM technologies, architectures, industry content, and offerings.

* Leading all aspects of your customer relationship and establishing IBM as a trusted partner, across IBM's entire technology portfolio, to drive strategic innovation and results - for IBM and your client.
* Combining contemporary cloud, data, AI, automation, security and /or storage skills with retail expertise and an understanding of your client's business to influence strategy, deliver value and accelerate client success.
* Using implicit leadership to direct an extended IBM, client and /or seller Partner team through the end-to-end sales process; from creating new opportunities and progressing them to closure.
* Collaborating with other sales Leaders and customer contacts to frame the opportunities and business value in order to prioritize co-creation sales engagements.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Demonstrable track record of success in complex technology sales and account relationship /development environments.
* Solid credibility and confidence around cloud, data & AI, automation, security, and storage technologies, in addition to experience with contemporary methods for co-creating client solutions.
* Excellent people, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proven record of executive-level networking and influencing throughout the successful closure of complex technology sales cycles.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Retail industry experience or large enterprise sales is a plus.
