As a Unix/AWS Technology Support I team member in Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Be part of the team responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating, and resolving production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, ensuring a seamless user experience.

 

Job responsibilities

Troubleshoot production application flows to ensure end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to support business operationsAssist in the improvement of operational stability and availability through participation in problem managementAssist in monitoring production environments for anomalies and address issues using standard observability toolsIdentify and document basic issues and potential solutions for business and technology stakeholdersSupport the management of incidents, problems, and changes in technology applications or infrastructure, and escalate in compliance with firm policy and processes

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

1+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology servicesProficiency in Unix/Linux operating systemsStrong command of scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Perl for automation tasksExperience with database technologies including SQL and Oracle Knowledge and hands on experience on either AWS or GKP cloud based systems (Cloud Certified).Knowledge of monitoring tools like Geneos, Splunk or Dynatrace for performance monitoring and troubleshooting TerraformFamiliarity with version control systems such as Git BitbucketUnderstanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS) Exposure to job scheduling tools like Control-M or Autosys and APMExperience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or JIRA for incident tracking and resolution 

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge of one or more general purpose programming languages or automation scriptingHaving experience on observability and telemetry tools like Datadog, grafana is highly desirable.Having SRE/DevOps mindset with knowledge around SLI, SLO, Error BudgetingFamiliarity with ITIL framework and incident management processesKnowledge of payment processing systems and protocols (ISO 8583, SWIFT, ACH)
