This role will support in leading IT strategies and oversee all AI and Data Management related applications to include development, support and maintenace.

HOW AN TECHNOLOGY VICE PRESIDENT, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & MACHINE LEARNING AND DATA WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers and Analysts while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous learning and delivering high impact solutionsResponsible for managing oversight, outreach initiatives, and internal and external communications as it pertains to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and DataLead internal enterprise communications on all matters related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data matters through presentations and other outletsDevelop and implement a comprehensive AI/ML and Data strategy aligned with business objectives & industry best practicesSupport all GDIT Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data commitments through facilitation, development and maintenance of all applicable policies, procedures, and protocols in collaboration with GD, GDIT and other Business UnitsResponsible for testing and validating machine learning models by using various methodologies and metrics for future deploymentProvide technical expertise and guidance in AI/ML algorithms, data modeling, data engineering, and data governance and support the deployment across various domains (e.g., natural language processing, computer vision, predictive analytics)Lead and direct the monitoring of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning performance to achieve overall GCIO and organizational goalsProvide technical evaluations by assessing emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning and data management and analytics technologiesIdentify potential risks related to data integrity, security, and compliance, and implement mitigation strategiesStay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI/ML, data management and analytics and champion their adoption within the organizationDesign and implement scalable data architecture and infrastructure solutions while leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologiesOversee the development of machine learning systems; Includes designing and implementing algorithms, creating data pipelines, and deploying models for production and utilization.Collaborate with other IT service owners, stakeholders and Project Management Office (PMO) to provide support and drive the end-to-end execution of AI/ML and Data projects from inception to delivery; Ensure adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standardsProvide oversight and inputs and subject matter expertise on government and/or industry audits and assessments related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Lead coordination of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data outreach, including oversight of budget and allocation of resourcesCollaborate and partner with cross-functional teams, including within IT, Product Management, and Business Units to understand requirements and deliver impactful data-driven solutionsConduct research and reviews external materials to develop and maintain understanding of Artificial Intelligence legislation, government, and customer direction; Includes providing advisory and strategic support related to such activities to internal stakeholdersConduct and oversee training on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Data reporting, participation plans, resources, tools, and processesActively participate in business and program activities, to include responding to request(s) for information/proposal (RFI/RFP)Ensure and audit compliance with relevant corporate, government, industry and customer policies and standardsResponsible for the implementation of risk and compliance procedures to ensure internal controls meet company standards within Sector and Division organizationsAccountable for the reliability, adequacy, and cost effectiveness of technology platforms & applicationsCollaborate with key stakeholders (to include executive leaders) to successfully deliver AI/ML Solutions to projects, as well as, Data management, Analytics and Reporting projects, all in accordance with scope, quality, budget, and time targetsManages special projects and other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in data management, data analytics and reporting, artificial intelligence, or related technical field; Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred.Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, Data Management, or related technical roles with a track record of successful project delivery and team leadership.10+ years of related technical experience in the areas of Solution Architecture and Programming. Must have significant knowledge and experience working within an Azure environment utilizing Azure AI toolsets and secure application development.Required Technical Skills: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and BI platformsSecurity Clearance Level: None requiredRequired Skills and Abilities: Proven track record of leading successful AI/ML initiatives, including model development, implementation, and deployment. Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies. Proficiency in machine learning frameworks & libraries (e.g., TensorFlow & PyTorch) and experience in developing and optimizing models. Experience in programming languages (e.g. Python, R, Scala, or Java). Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and BI platforms. Must have significant knowledge and experience working within an Azure GCC-High environment utilizing Azure AI toolsets and secure application development.Preferred Skills and Abilities:  Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire & motivate teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strategic mindset to influence & drive change at all levels of the organization. Proven track record of driving technical innovation and delivering complex projects. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning practices. Comprehensive knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Data practices, procedures, and processes. Knowledge of development of Risk & Compliance Plans for security vulnerability purposes. Comprehensive knowledge of various reporting systems. Comprehensive knowledge of development of Artificial Intelligence & Data Risk and Compliance Plans. Experience in forecasting, managing and effectively delivering multi-million-dollar organizational budgets and building zero-based budget models. Understanding of standard project methodologies regarding project initiation, current state analysis, future state design, implementation, and project transition/close-out. Ability to present business strategies (often to non-technical audiences) to obtain buy-in & funding for current and new technologies. Effective communication skills. Effective administrative and organizational skills. Effective people management skills. Strong working knowledge of regulatory and statutory risk & compliance requirements. The likely salary range for this position is $218,025 - $294,975. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
