Telecom BSS Specialist

As a Telecom BSS Specialist, you will join our Communications & Media Practice, which serves some of the leading cable providers in the US.

Location – Plano, TX

Key Responsibilities:

· Project Management:

o Come up with project plans for BSS-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget

· Solution Development:

o Design, develop, and implement robust BSS solutions tailored to meet customer requirements.

o Prepare solution responses to RFI and RFP, back it up with data points and align them based upon CTS offerings, solution, and differentiator.

o Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.

· Technical Expertise:

o Provide technical leadership and guidance on BSS architecture and design.

o Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

o Troubleshoot and resolve complex BSS issues.

· Integration Management:

o Address and resolve complex integration issues between various BSS components and other systems.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of BSS solutions.

· Customer Engagement:

o Meet with customers in person to understand their problem statements and business needs.

o Develop and propose relevant solutions that address customer challenges and enhance their operations.

o Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Leadership and Management:

o Provide thought leadership in BSS space, strategic direction and stay abreast of industry trends (present and ahead of the curve)

o Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

o Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

· Master’s degree preferred.

· Minimum of 7 years of experience in the telecom industry, IT consulting, or global systems integrator (SI) companies.

· Must have Oracle BRM experience.

· Proven experience with top-tier BSS solutions such as Oracle BRM(Highly Preferred) Amdocs, Netcracker, CSG, Optiva, or Hansen.

· Strong understanding of telecom industry standards and best practices.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery is a good to have.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

· Certifications Preferred:

· TM Forum Frameworx Certification for understanding telecom industry standards and best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
