Adesta, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Telecom Estimator. The Telecom Estimator will support the achievement of sales goals through direct pre-sales support, providing high-quality, innovative, cost-effective technical solutions for fiber optic construction that meet or exceed our customer’s needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop technical solutions that map customer business requirements to telecommunication construction project solutionsGeneration of technical scopes of work and detailed design narratives for technical solutions and associated cost estimatesManage estimation process to include interfacing with multiple representatives of sales, management, and customer teamsAnalyze blueprints, construction drawings, and technical/functional design specifications to prepare compliant solutionsResearch emerging technologies in support of telecommunications integration solutionsInterface with subcontractors, product and distribution partners to obtain construction labor, systems, device, and equipment pricing during estimating processSupport the sales team by participating in technical discussions, meetings, and site walks with customers and/or product partnersDevelop an understanding of construction divisions as they relate to telecommunications network for Requests for Proposal (RFP) responsesMaintain quality assurance by following organization and department standards

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

High school diploma or equivalentOne or more of the following industry technology certifications:Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI)Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA)Certified Professional EstimatorOther specific product certification in telecommunicationsMinimum of seven (7) years of experience working with telecommunications solutionsMinimum of five (5) years of experience in pre-sales support/engineeringProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and SharePoint) and computer operationsAbility to work independently, and perform tasks of moderate to high complexity, which require knowledge of technical and business environmentsUtilization of a PDF editing and creation tool such as Bluebeam for device plotting and team collaborationsSuperb oral and written communication skillsExcellent follow-up and leadership skillsStrong analytical decision-making capabilitiesSelf-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence othersMust be able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlinesAbility to travel up to 30%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Working knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, IP configurationProficiency in spreadsheets such as Excel to develop complex quotes and experience with online quoting tools such as WeEstimateCollege degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field of study
