Job Summary Under general supervision, responds to user complaints and needs to resolve problems and provide telephony service associated with the organization's telecommunications networks (voice and/or data). Diagnoses problem source through discussions with users. Coordinates with internal telecommunications support and operations and with vendors to resolve problems. Follows up with users to ensure problem resolution, and develops supporting documentation of all activities. Qualifications + Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. + Experience: 5 years related Telecommunications Experience, required. + Knowledge, skills and abilities required: + Following is a summary of the major job processes of this job. Involves responding to user complaints to troubleshoot telecommunication networks, for both voice and data. Diagnose problems with scripted questions. + Assists in the maintenance of network communications. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements. + Responsible for providing Tier 1 technical support for all legacy TDM & VoIP products and perform remote monitoring and testing of Data Circuits + Responsible, under supervision, for moderately complex tasks typically relating to network monitoring, operations, programming, and installation. + Information Technology Services team members are responsible for securely managing information systems throughout their lifecycle, including; knowing what information systems are within their scope of responsibility, understanding what sensitive data is stored, transmitted, or processed on those information systems, enforcing the security principles of least privilege and least functionality, knowing what events may constitute an information security incident, and understanding their role in security incident response activities. + Performs maintenance for local and remote locations. + Handles routine network tasks/activities and identifies/resolves routine network problems. + Monitors and responds to complex technical communication problems + Maintains and demonstrates professional competency. + Complies with organization and department policies and procedures.
