**Telecommunication Inspector** Location **Southwest** Job Code **17873** \# of openings **3** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=17873) **Telecommunication Inspector** POWER Constructors, Inc. is currently seeking a Telecommunication Inspector. This position will be primarily responsible for performing inspections at various telecommunication sites. Locations will be Greenfield and Brownfield. Some of the sites will be in existing energized Substations, on Transmission Right of Ways and in other various remote locations. This position will be up to 100% travel. POWER will provide mobilization to and from the project. A company truck with all necessary equipment will be provided. Work will be conducted in the state of Nevada. **Required Education/Experience** + The successful candidate will have 10+ years of active field experience, computer/ iPad skills (to properly fill out daily and weekly reports) and be capable of photo documentation with working knowledge of Word Excel and Adobe Acrobat. + 7 + years of field experience and 3 years in a lead/supervisory role is also preferred. + Travel requirement is 100% remote in the state of Nevada. **Desired Education/Experience** + Knowledge of various telecommunication facilities and installations to include- Microwave Radio (MW) sites, fiber sites, collector stations and optical amplifier sites. + Knowledge of various construction activities for the above sites to include- surveying, grading, civil, foundations, grounding, house installation, fencing, conduit, tower erection, dishes, antennae’s, waveguides, batteries, AC & DC station service, generators, transfer switches, common electrical, fiber optics are all strongly preferred. + Knowledge of working in and around energized facilities to include distribution circuits, transmission circuits and high voltage substations. + Combination of Microwave Radio Sites, Fiber Optic Sites, Optic Amplifier Sites and Collector Substations are all strongly preferred. **Physical Requirements** **Included but not limited to:** + This job may require you to work up to 12 hr. days, 5 to 6 days a week if project requires. + Able and willing to travel and stay for a minimum of 6 weeks at a time for a project. + Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions for up to 12hrs a day. + Must be able to wear company-provided PPE for the entire shift while onsite. + Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or more at any given time throughout the day. + Must be able to walk on average 3 to 5 miles per day across rough terrain and/or unlevel surfaces. + Ability to step in and out of a 3/4-ton pickup truck several times a day. **Required Skills** + Must have current and valid driver’s license. + Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications and comparing with the customer or engineers’ standards. + Combined in the below statement. + Proficient in both verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate well with others at all levels of the organization. + Will prepare detailed reports and present to the customer in an organized, clear, and concise manner each day. + Observe work for conformance per the engineered drawings and document non-conformance on your daily report and report non-conforming items to the contactor performing the work. + Observe and document any third-party testing that is required by the client.
