Network architects are in charge of effectively designing and reviewing network requirements and capabilities for their organization. They are responsible for validating high-level design plans for optimal network implementation. Network architects must be organized individuals that pay strong attention to detail to prevent network issues and incompatibility. They report their progress and escalate issues to the network administrator or supervisor in their department as needed. One of their main tools includes a personal computer to verify network setting and security requirements by using specialized software to test for security flaws and possible intruder doors. Additionally, network architects verify network integrity by coordinating the installation and proper maintenance of hardware and software tools. They provide technical support and guidance for complex wireless and local area networks. One of their main functions includes managing client expectations by following strict standards and network protocols. They implement new technologies for high-level designs and monitor performance based on specified project requirements. Network architects also determine proper architecture required by the size of existing computer systems. They also must maintain an accurate report to prevent future connectivity problems. 10+ years of experience.
The selected candidate will join a dynamic team of architects and engineers innovating Clients future networks. The candidate will be responsible for research, architecture, and engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's telecommunications hardware, software, and services. Collaborates with product, engineering, and operation teams to create technical requirements for newly proposed products and services and deliver proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the proposed technologies and works with the teams to deploy these technologies.
The candidate must have a working knowledge in various access technologies including HFC DAA, DOCSIS, and PON. The required skills for the above access technologies include system architecture and testing that enable the successful creation of system requirement documents, design documents, migration strategies, strategic roadmaps, and proof of concepts. The position requires knowledge in RF technologies, performing computer simulations, conducting laboratory experiments, building proof of concepts, recording measurements, analyzing data, and composing technical reports and technology recommendations. The candidate must have experience in running experiments in laboratory environment, expertise in test equipment (e.g., signal generators and analyzers, etc.), writing test cases, and creating test automation code.
The individual will also help to manage vendors with products and service deliverables based on Client business requirements and internal customer requests. The candidate must be able to clearly communicate in writing as well as verbally, properly represent Client in Cablelabs and SCTE events, and write technical papers for conferences in the cable industry.

• Strong writing skills to effectively write architecture requirements documents and design documents.
• System architecture and testing knowledge of various access technologies including HFC DAA, DOCSIS, PON, Mobile, and Wi-Fi.
• Background in networking principles and protocol stacks.
• Develop architecture requirements for HFC DAA, DOCSIS, PON, Mobile, and Wi-Fi Networks.
• Develop architecture requirements for the support of data offload of wireless traffic onto the DOCSIS network.
• Develop access network strategies and roadmaps. • Maintain a good understanding of the industry and how it may impact the company.
• Participate as needed in relevant industry standards organizations regarding access technologies.
• Promote and champion Company’s vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork.
• Manage resource allocation and workload; use the SAFe Agile principals to manage work; work closely with the Technology leadership team, internal stakeholders and other cross functional team to prioritize work. Communicate and ensure delivery of committed work.
• Represent Client business interests in a wide variety of settings and relationships including company management, business partners, and equipment vendors.
• Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $77.27 - $87.60/hr.
