What You’ll Do -
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our IT infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of systems, and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

You'll report to the Manager, Network Engineer.

During a Typical Day, You’ll

·       System Management\:

o   Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and application software.

o   Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.

·       Knowledge in Network Administration\:

o   LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.

o   Perform network diagnostics and optimize connectivity and throughput.

·       Security\:

o   Implement and maintain security policies, firewalls, and antivirus measures.

o   Conduct regular security assessments and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

·       User Support\:

o   Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

o   Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.

·       Backup and Recovery\:

o   Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

o   Conduct regular testing to ensure data integrity and availability.

·       Automation and Optimization\:

o   Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.

o   Research and recommend new technologies to enhance system capabilities.

·       Documentation\:

o   Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

o   Prepare technical reports and user guides as needed.

 

 

What You Bring to the Role

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role. Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash). Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
