Job Description:At Regions, the Telecommunications Engineer develops, implements, and maintains the configuration and programming of the Regions Contact Center Systems.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs various telecommunication system installations and maintenance routinesDesigns, develops, codes, debugs, tests, implements and provides daily technical support and maintenance for all call center applicationsTroubleshoots system issues, determines root cause, repairs, coordinates with vendors when necessaryMonitors help desk ticket queues and resolves telecommunications related ticketsCreates, plans, and executes project plans relating to contact center system applicationsResearches, recommends, and deploys new call center technologiesThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years telecommunications or related experienceOr, a High School Diploma or GED and eleven (11) years telecommunications experienceSkills and Competencies
Ability to work autonomously, with occasional guidanceAdvanced understanding of voice and data technologies as used in the enterprise network including the public branch exchange and dialed number identification routingBasic knowledge of contact center configuration tools, database management, application integration, and securityBasic project management skillsBasic understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Internet Protocol (IP), and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP)/ Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)Experience with leased lines and call recording applicationsExperience with PowerShell and Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)Good writing, verbal communication and technical documentation skills including providing on-the-job knowledge transferWorking knowledge of Cisco Contact Center, Genesys or Noble Dialer softwareWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows productsThis position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience
This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary location being for Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. Exceptions to the geographic location requirement may be made for current Regions associates who work remotely.

Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role.
