Telecommunications Low Voltage Technician

Hobby Lobby has an outstanding opportunity for a Low Voltage Technician located at its corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.
OVERVIEW
The Low Voltage Technician will perform cable installation and maintenance services for analog, digital, and VoIP telephone equipment, switched network, POS, CCTV, paging and various other platforms.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS Installation of POS, network, and computer systems. Provision, test and maintain VoIP phones and related accessories. Install, troubleshoot, test, and repair of low voltage systems (LAN, CCTV, PA, etc.) Installs and maintains distribution racks, distribution cables, terminals, grounding, and wiring on a variety of communications systems. Conducts site surveys, plans and coordinates infrastructure upgrades with network engineering, construction and other organizations for small to medium environments. Interpret standard construction blue print schematics. Install interior and exterior cabling to various equipment end points. Demonstrate ability to use applicable communications testing equipment, interpret results and make appropriate decisions. With appropriate training, demonstrate with confidence the ability to safely operate powered equipment such as golf cart, transport cart, pallet jack, scissor lift, and boom lift. Other requirements: Some travel within the U.S. 0-2 years industry experience. Follow oral and written directives Possess good communication skills (both oral and written). Capable of analyzing data, recognize problems, and draw logical conclusions. Comfortable working at heights including ladders, scissor and boom lifts up to 50’. Functional knowledge and demonstrated use of standard PC applications (MS Office). Team work; establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with those contacted throughout the organization. Possess and maintain valid government issued credentials enabling travel by car and plane within the state of Oklahoma and throughout the United States. Knowledge of: Personal computers, Low Voltage testing equipment LAN/WAN computing networks.
