The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Telecommunications Management Systems (TMS) Technician to support our government customer located in Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The TMS Technician functions as CAIRS (Configuration | Accounting | Integration | Reports | Security) Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing technical support for Physical and Logical Infrastructure Work CentersProvides technical support, knowledge transfer, and TTP preparation for Unified Communications, Physical Infrastructure, and related work centers.Working with the Infrastructure work center maintains cable records for both copper and fiber with QA auditing to ensure accuracy.Working with the Unified Communications work center, maintains a telephone and information systems directory that provides telephone numbers of organizations on USAG-KA.Prepares and submits electronic and hard copy lists of all installed cable supporting provided services for COR approval.Working with the Physical and Logical Infrastructure Work Centers, manages the Telephone Management System databases, and provides support for 911/e911 infrastructure.Ensure that documentation is reviewed, and changes are made in CAIRS when inaccurate information is identified.Working within the Documentation Work Center, import current rack elevations and infrastructure documentation into CAIRS.Working with other Work Centers, develop automate and orchestrate telecom and UC tasks using CAIRS Script library and API interfaces.Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High school diploma and minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
Must possess a valid U.S. passport.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Extensive experience with TMS and, specifically, CAIRS TMS products.
Experience with CISCO Unified Communication Manager suite of products highly desired.
Experience supporting DoD voice services (analog, digital, IP) desired.
Ability to relocate and reside at the U.S. Army Garrison – Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (USAG-KA). To enter the Republic of the Marshall Islands, you must meet current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases.
Pre-employment health screening is required due to remote location and limited medical and dental capabilities on the island.
Ability to ride a bicycle or walk at least two miles to/from work daily. There are no personally owned vehicles allowed on USAG-KA. Transportation is primarily by bicycle.
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 30lbs to waist height.
Ability to travel by plane or small sea-going vessel between working locations.
Compensated overtime work may be required.
Rotational callback and emergency duty are requirements of this position.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. Citizen SECRET security clearance to access classified information.
