Telecommunications Specialist
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Telecommunications Specialist in the healthcare industry. The role will be based in Connecticut. As a Telecommunications Specialist, you will be tasked with applying technical knowledge to projects, partnering with application and infrastructure teams, and handling various roles such as engineering, architecture, and operations. Responsibilities: • Apply technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to moderate scope projects, focusing on improving data and systems efficiency. • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses. • Carry out hands-on configuration and implementation of systems such as CUCM, Ribbon, and Genesys. • Undertake design roles in consultation with fellow Engineers and architects on the team to develop solutions. • Handle daily operations including system maintenance and troubleshooting. • Configure primary ribbon SBC, SIP trunking between UC systems such as CUCM, Ribbon, CUBE, Twilio, and CVP. • Understand and implement enterprise dial plan architecture. • Gain implementation experience with multi-platform call routing systems like Ribbon PSX and Cisco SME. • Use skills such as Avaya CMS, Cisco Webex Meetings, CRM, Crystal Reports, Management System, About Time, Auditing, Communication, Compliance, and Component Selection to perform tasks efficiently and effectively. Requirements • Proven experience as a Telecommunications Specialist within the Healthcare/NHS industry • Demonstrated proficiency in Avaya CMS and Cisco Webex Meetings • Experience with CRM and Crystal Reports • Familiarity with Management System and About Time software • Strong auditing skills with a keen eye for detail • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Proven track record of adherence to compliance regulations within the Healthcare/NHS industry • Experience in Component Selection within a telecommunications role • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently • Relevant certifications or qualifications in telecommunications or related field would be advantageous.
