As a Telehealth Medical Assistant in an urgent care setting, your responsibilities will include: + **Patient Interaction** : Conduct virtual patient interviews to gather comprehensive medical histories, including current medications. + **Clinical Support** : Triage incoming patient communications via calls and video sessions, providing necessary clinical assistance. + **Documentation** : Accurately document all patient interactions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and prepare detailed notes for healthcare providers. + **Technical Assistance** : Offer technical support to patients navigating the telehealth platform to ensure a seamless virtual experience. + **Escalation Management** : Identify complex cases and escalate them appropriately to clinicians for further evaluation. + **Medication Management** : Communicate with patients regarding medication dosing, potential interactions, and adherence to prescribed regimens. + **Coordination of Care** : Provide updates, diagnoses, clinical notes, and treatment authorization requests to the designated representatives, including clinic staff, providers, and Worker’s Compensation insurance adjusters. + **Follow-Up Scheduling** : Assist in coordinating transfers and scheduling follow-up care to ensure continuity of patient care. The role is primarily work from home. But the ability to go into clinic as needed is required.
