Job Description
As a Telehealth Registered Nurse, you will assess and triage immediate health concerns telephonically. You will provide concise, appropriate, and safe nursing guidance while identifying problems or gaps in care, offering opportunities for intervention and ER diversion as appropriate. Regular communication with patients and respective members of the healthcare team is a key aspect of this role. You will engage with fellow teammates and leadership via multiple communication platforms, providing health education and coaching consumers on available care options. All patient interactions are to be documented via multiple EMR and tracking platforms. Additionally, you will take part in special projects, initiatives, and other job duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Assess and triage immediate health concerns telephonically.
+ Provide concise, appropriate, and safe nursing guidance.
+ Identify problems or gaps in care, offering opportunities for intervention and ER diversion as appropriate.
+ Communicate regularly with patients and respective members of the healthcare team.
+ Engage with fellow teammates and leadership via multiple communication platforms.
+ Provide health education and coach consumers on available care options.
+ Document all patient interactions via multiple EMR and tracking platforms.
+ Participate in special projects, initiatives, and other job duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Knowledge of medical terminology.
+ Experience with EMR systems.
+ Current RN license.
+ Registered Nurse licensed to practice in New York State (NYS) with current NYS registration and in good standing.
+ Experience in triage and clinical questionnaire assessments.
+ Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatric care.
+ Familiarity with EMR systems such as NextGen and Epic.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
+ Record of prior stable employment and/or favorable references.
+ NYS license preferred.
Work Environment
The role requires full range of body motion including moving and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. The position also requires sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time. There are no holiday or vacation requirements, but sick time is provided. Once permanent, employees have eligibility for tuition reimbursement and good benefits. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00
