Telemetry Tech - Full Time - Stepdown

Description:Under limited supervision, provides general assistance to the hospital personnel and providers. Work will include components of observation, documentation, maintaining related records and general maintenance of the environment. Observes cardiac rhythms of patients via monitors for abnormalities and following the appropriate reporting pathway.

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours (must work every other weekend and every other holiday)

What you will Do:

Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. 

Performs and maintains records of equipment maintenance, carries out necessary quality control to ensure that performance standards are satisfied.

Performs all responsibilities of a Telemetry Tech as required, including monitoring, and analyzing telemetry strips by following established policies and procedures.

Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to operate SpaceLab equipment.

Notifies Charge RN and patient's primary care RN of any heart rate or rhythm changes.

Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences utilizing established lines of authority and assists in identifying ways to resolve variances or unacceptable outcomes.

Actively participates in department meetings, committees, conferences, and in services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a high school diploma/GED or must be at least 16 years old and actively pursuing high school diploma.

Prior health care experience preferred.

Must successfully complete the Basic Arrhythmia class during orientation.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, advanced analytical skills, be well organized and maintain a highly professional manner and appearance.

Strong interpersonal, consultative and relationship building skills in order to initiate and develop productive collaborative partnership with all levels of leadership across the organization. Ability to effectively influence results, garner support and tactfully manage complex relationships within and across the organization.  Extremely high level of diplomacy and tact are required. Ability to read the subtle nuances of situation and react/plan accordingly.

Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.

Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
