About the Intensive Care Unit · The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a specialized section of our hospital that provides comprehensive and continuous care for persons who are critically ill and can benefit from treatment. Combining the latest in healthcare technology with a highly qualified and trained staff. About The Career: · Works as a direct patient caregiver under the supervision of professional clinical staff. Functions as a clerk/receptionist for the ICU. Assists with patient care. Acts as a cardiac monitor technician. All About You : · Assists RN's in carrying out some aspects of patient care as assigned. · Assists in maintaining patient records and transcribing physician orders. · Demonstrates effective and courteous communication skills. · Orders and maintains unit supplies and equipment. · Maintains and applies Telemetry monitoring equipment. · Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and maintains patient rhythm strip records.
