Position Responsibilities:
Answers all incoming calls professionally, timely and places them on hold as necessary; doesn't let calls wait in que Follows customer service standards for phone communications as set by department management, based on Customer Service training session and materials Supports other team members with questions and provides direction to them when needed Takes time to listen and hear what the caller is requesting; doesn't transfer the call without hearing full explanation of callers need Responds to all hospital codes/emergencies and notifies all hospital staff as required by department procedures Has a full knowledge of all hospital pertinent staff and pertinent department extensions without using reference material Monitors alarm indicators and enunciators for hospital locations and notifies appropriate staff Immediately answers Emergency / 123 lines and responds immediately by notifying the appropriate staff Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency to all emergency calls and is an expert in these scenarios Follows medical center's policy regarding releasing any patient information Ability to decipher and react in most situations that are outside of the typical work flow or experienceRequirements:
