Description We are offering a long-term contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Telephony Support Technician in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This role will primarily focus on supporting telephony systems, including Avaya/Nortel and cloud-based solutions like Ring Central. Responsibilities: • Port numbers and perform tests on telephony systems and ensure their optimal performance. • Support the implementation and maintenance of Avaya/Nortel phone systems. • Manage desktop and application support related to telephony systems. • Serve as a key UAT testing resource. • Understand and troubleshoot basic network issues. • Ensure the accurate removal, wiring, and setup of VoIP phones. • Learn and manage wiring closet locations and runs. • Understand and interpret network patch panel. • Maintain knowledge of PBX systems and carrier services. • Keep up to date with cloud technologies related to telephony systems. Requirements • No specific years of experience required, open to all levels • Basic knowledge of Telephony systems, and basic Hardware & Software Troubleshooting • Familiarity with compliance standards in the telecommunications industry • Experience with component selection is desirable • Proficient in the use of Ring Central or other Telephony Cloud Technologies • Good knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies • Basic network troubleshooting skills are necessary • Strong communication and organization skills required, experience with PBX System is a plus Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
