Temp / Casual Dry Person

Position Description:

The Dry Person is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized dry facility for mine workers. The dry facility is a critical part of mine operations, providing a space for employees to store, dry, and manage their personal protective equipment (PPE) and workwear. This role ensures the facility operates efficiently to support the health, safety, and comfort of all workers.

 

Responsibilities:

Perform regular cleaning of the dry, including floors, lockers, benches, and drying equipment.  Maintain cleanliness in showers, washrooms, and common areas to the highest sanitation standards.  Empty waste receptacles and handle laundry services as required.  Replenish supplies such as soap, hand towels, toilet paper, and cleaning materials.  Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.  Ensure the dry meets hygiene standards to prevent cross-contamination of workwear and PPE.  Other job duties as assigned. 

 

 

Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.  Previous experience in cleaning, facility maintenance, or related roles is an asset.  Ability to work independently and take initiative to maintain cleanliness and organization.  Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and hygiene standards.  Effective communication skills to report issues or coordinate with supervisors.  Physically fit to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting 50lbs, and standing for extended periods.
