Celebrity Cruises Entertainment team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Specialist, Entertainment Technical Operations Projects reporting to the Manager, Entertainment Technical Operations.
Position Summary
Senior Specialist, Entertainment Technical Operations Projects, supports the planning, coordination, and execution of entertainment technology projects across Celebrity Cruises. This position involves managing a wide range of technical projects, including upgrades to audio, lighting, video, and stage automation systems, as well as integrating new technologies to enhance guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in entertainment technology and experience in project management. They must possess excellent budgeting skills, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting. This position reports to the Manager of Entertainment Technical Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for Entertainment Technical Capital projects, ensuring adherence to defined timelines and financial limits. Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors to secure necessary equipment and services. Oversee project progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement modifications as needed to ensure successful project delivery. Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure Entertainment Technical systems comply with industry standards and deliver the desired guest experience. Act as the primary liaison for Entertainment Technical Capital projects, maintaining clear and effective communication with stakeholders, project teams, and senior management. Provide regular status updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to ensure transparency and alignment with organizational goals. Ensure Entertainment Technical systems adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and cruise industry guidelines. Collaborate with relevant departments to perform safety assessments and implement necessary changes to Entertainment Technical systems to ensure the safety of guests and staff. Create detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, manuals, and training materials for Entertainment Technical systems. Generate comprehensive project reports, detailing key performance metrics, lessons learned, and recommendations for future Entertainment Technical projects.
Job Requirements
At least one year managing Technical Entertainment Projects. Proven experience with projects in the cruise industry or similar environments. Strong background in entertainment technology (audio, lighting, video, stage automation). Bachelor's degree in, Entertainment Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted. PMP certification is a plus. Deep understanding of audio, video, lighting, and control systems in entertainment venues. Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards for maritime and entertainment operations is a plus. Strong skills in creating project plans and managing budgets. Proficient in budgeting, cost estimation, monitoring, and financial reporting. Experienced with project management software and tools. Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people. Collaborative, able to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and shipboard personnel. Flexible, able to adapt to changing project requirements. Willing to travel about 60% of the time, including international travel and extended stays on ships. Shipboard experience is a plus
Physical Demands
While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, and stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a pc, communicate, listen, and assess information. The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull or move 25-35 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to walk to the dock, ascend and descend the vessel. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions

A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations.
