Job Title Temporary Camp Worker - Teacher Aide (C.E) Agency Texas A&M International University Department Continuing Education Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Laredo, Texas Job Type Temporary/Casual Staff (Fixed Term) Job Description Job Summary The Temporary Camp Worker (Teacher Aide) will provide assistance as they are required to serve as a Teacher Aide for Dusty's Junior University Summer Youth Program. They are responsible to assist the classroom teacher, assist participants with activities and create a safe and positive learning environment. Assist in the C.E. Summer Youth Program classroom as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Assist in the supervision of the participants of Dusty's Junior University Summer Program. + Will welcome participants to class, assist the instructor, take participants to and from the restrooms, lunch, classrooms and pickup and departure sites. + Perform other duties as assigned by the instructor and/or Operations Manager . Minimum Requirements + Education - High school diploma or post secondary education. + Experience - Must have experience working and leading children/youth. + Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills. ​ + May NOT be a currently enrolled undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to: + Communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding. + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
