This position is being offered at a TEMPORARY assignment at Nordstrom. The expected duration of this temporary assignment is from December, 2025 to March 15, 2025, subject to change based on the needs of the business. The position will end at the conclusion of the assignment.
As a temporary Concept Designer at Nordstrom, you will identify key fashion trends and determine if they related to the Nordstrom customer and the brand(s) you support, and you will support the design process form concept to completion in partnership with your key business partners.
A day in the life…
Responsible for supporting the design process from concept to completion while partnering with the Senior Designer to ensure alignment on priorities and artwork direction.Consistently research marketplace, including our competitors for inspirations and opportunities in product, fabric, wash, color.Expert knowledge of contemporary market, may support multiple brands and categoriesResearch and identify print & color trend direction.Actively participates in the conceptual development and seasonal direction.Ensure the concept direction is consistent with market trends and business strategy.Create design boards for each season showcasing color and concept direction.Work closely with design partner to ensure concept point of view is in line with overarching seasonal direction.Create an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications.Support partnership with CFT's and oversees catering content to meet their needs.You own this if you have…
3+ years design experienceCollege degree in Fashion Design, Textiles or a related field.Ability to identify key trends and determine how they appropriately relate to the brand/ consumer.Strong design and conceptual skills with knowledge of textiles, artwork techniques & fabric, and a strong sense of textile and color application.Proficiency using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesignPositive and passionate with strong problem-solving skills and desire to work in a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with business partners & team mates.Highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multi task and prioritize as well as ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written.#LI-Hybrid

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $80,000 - $155,000 annuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
