\nGENERAL SUMMARY\n\n\n\n\n
Under general supervision and reporting to the Director of Quality Operations, the Quality Inspector is responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process with an emphasis on the aircraft structural assemblies and components.\n\n\n\n\n
\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Essential functions are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\n\n\n\n\nExecute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation.\nPrepare and perform administrative, visual, dimensional incoming inspection during the aircraft manufacturing process in compliance with design specifications, customers, and certification requirements.\nUse SAP-based and SAL-based IT systems to document the technical inspections performed in the production orders by inspection ark.\nComplete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports if needed.\nSupport troubleshooting and participate in Quality Survey requests.\nCompile all non-conformance technical data in order to launch the SAP-based quality discrepancy sheets for the professional assessment in accordance with the manufacturing engineering documentation.\nDocument all the technical inspector's results in the SAP based IT system.\n\n

\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\n\n\n\n\n\nHigh school diploma \/ GED.\n\n
\u00b7 FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P), including inspection authorization is preferred.\n\n3 years of relevant experience with an emphasis on structural components and assemblies.\nAirline experience is desirable.\n\n\n\n\n\n

Other Factors: Typical hours worked are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Incumbents may be required to work occasional extended hours and weekend overtime\n

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk (approximately 1-2 miles a day); sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
