This is a TEMPORARY POSITION
The Instrumentation Support Service group (ISS) is looking for a first shift, UAW represented technician who will be responsible for calibrating, repairing, and maintaining dynamometer test systems and instrumentation equipment to support conventional and electrified (BEV, BSG, ESS, HEV, PHEV, REEV) powertrain test cells located at the Chrysler Technical Center, in Auburn Hills Michigan. The Instrumentation Technician will also need to be able to identify, troubleshoot, and correct problems in the field associated with dyno drives, dyno controllers, battery emulators, torque measurement systems, pressure, and temperature transducers, etc. In addition, the Instrumentation Technician will be required to work effectively with all levels of management, support engineers, union represented employees, and outside suppliers to maximize.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of TWO (2) years relevant work experience Strong background in electronics and the ability to troubleshoot issues to the component level Hands-on experience using electronic diagnostic tools Motivated self-starter with good oral and written communication skills Comfortability with a fast-paced work environment Ability to complete job assignments in a timely and effective manner Proficient with MS Office and Google Suite applications Must be able to work any shift. Associates degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering from an ABET accredited university Minimum FIVE (5) years of experience with repairing and maintaining instrumentation equipment Experience with troubleshooting dyno issues in a test cell and at remotely located dyno drives Ability to program PLCs and troubleshoot PC issues Familiarity with Battery Emulators and their application in eMotor and EDM testing EOE / Disability / VeteranAt Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
