Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Quality Test Engineer Intern performs failure analysis on field returns down to the component level to return the root cause. The Quality Test Engineer I works closely with other engineers and escalates complex failures to more senior team members.

Perform failure analysis on field returns down to the component level to determine the root causeUse instruments like Digital Storage Oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency generators, etc. to recreate problems and determine the root cause.Analyze product complaints. Confirm complaint and determines root causes, when possible.Collaborate with appropriate technical, Clinical, Field/Sales and/or returned product analysis employees to ensure complaint investigations are adequate, accurate, detailed and timely.Capture/document test results in an organized manner.Effectively escalate complex investigations to more senior engineers.Perform other duties as assigned.  Role Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably a medical or technical degree. Skills and Knowledge Experience with analog and digital circuits.Electronic schematic comprehension. Electrical hardware investigation down to component level.Root cause analysis.Experience using electronic test equipment (Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Power supply, frequency Generator, etc.)Ability to read and understand technical drawings, datasheets, and schematics.Evaluate/investigate and document investigation results for returned devices from clinical studies and commercial complaints.Proficient with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Electronic Engineering field.Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.Can work independently in a team environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Target Pay Range

$20/hr- $25/hr The final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and geography. *Nevro is a multi-state employer, so the target pay range may increase or decrease depending on the city/state.
