Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Psychiatry at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Under direction, the Research Assistants will support grant funded research and demonstration projects led by Principal Investigator. Research Assistants are matched with project based on skills and abilities, as well as project needs. The research assistants will further support with the development, implementation and monitoring of programs within laboratory within the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Department of Psychiatry and the Rutgers Addiction Research Center. Dr. Dick recently launched the Rutgers Addiction Research Center (RARC) to bring together Rutgers researchers, clinicians, and community members to tackle addiction through building collaborative partnerships among these groups, offering training opportunities, and growing the field of addiction research at Rutgers. The Research Assistants will provide research, administrative and programmatic support to the Principal Investigator, faculty, and other professional staff. 

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Regular communication with Program Coordinator and Principal Investigator and related faculty and staff on assigned projects.  Responsible for communication with project participants, to include managing the study email account to respond to participant questions. Recruiting study participants, scheduling study visits, obtaining informed consents for study participation and maintaining necessary study documentation.  Drafts reports and presentations at the guidance of PI and related faculty.  Provides coordinative assistance to PI and related faculty/staff by coordinating projects, programs, functions, and organizing project operations.  Provides administrative, analytical, computing and staff support for the Principal Investigator and Program Manager.  Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
