Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Continuous working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy. Shift Primarily Days Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. Some evenings and weekends may be possible due to experimentation. Job Summary Responsibilities will include general laboratory upkeep and organization, performance of experiments, assistance with mouse colony maintenance, ordering supplies and other administrative tasks. Other duties include organizing, conducting, analyzing and recording experimental data; maintaining of some lab equipment. Experience with any of the following techniques is desirable: cell culture, microscopy, western blotting, PCR, and mouse work. However, a candidate lacking experience but possessing a positive attitude and a strong ability to learn new research techniques will be seriously considered as long as they meet the minimum requirements. Applicants interested in a part-time position will also be considered. While the minimum wage for this position is $15.30, hourly pay will be commensurate with the experience of the applicant. This position will be open until filled and applicant materials will be reviewed frequently.
