POSITION: Tennis and Pickleball Coordinator – F/T Exempt
REPORTS TO: Facilities ManagerPosition Overview:
ASM Global is seeking a dedicated and professional Tennis/Pickleball Coordinator to join our team at McFetridge Sports Center. The Tennis and Pickleball Coordinator will be responsible for leading and assisting in beginner and intermediate tennis lessons, while overseeing all aspects of tennis and pickleball programming, staff management, and event planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, assist, and instruct tennis lessons for players of varying skill levels, focusing on the development of fundamental tennis and pickleball skills.
Be a passionate ambassador for the games of tennis and pickleball.
Design, develop, and manage comprehensive tennis programming for both individuals and groups.
Provide/market both private and groups lessons for tennis and pickleball.
Ensure that all activities comply with safety standards and facility regulations. Promote a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for players of all ages and abilities.
Supervise and manage tennis and pickleball instructors and staff, ensuring proper scheduling and coordination of lessons.
Oversee all tennis and pickleball-related assets, including regular maintenance of equipment and facilities.
Lead and/or assist in beginner, intermediate, and advanced tennis and pickleball lessons, focusing on skill development, technique, and strategy.
Recruit, train, and manage a team of tennis and pickleball instructors. Ensure proper scheduling and coordination of lesson assignments.
Plan, organize, and execute tennis and pickleball tournaments, social events, and special activities for both adults and youth.
Foster positive relationships with participants, addressing any inquiries or concerns, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Be the face of the program and be accessible to patrons, registrants and parents during peak programming hours.
Enthusiastically encourage participation by planning new events and managing waitlists.
Review and approve timesheets for tennis instructors, effectively managing requests for absences and ensuring accurate record-keeping of time worked.
Completed other job responsibility and duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a tennis instructor and/or manager, with a proven track record of successfully managing tennis programs and staff.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, staff, and participants in both oral and written forms.
Excellent internal and external customer service skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, patrons, and other stakeholders.
Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to dynamic situations and evolving needs.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Google Docs.
Strong knowledge of tennis equipment and safety regulations, ensuring the well-being of all participants.
A passion for promoting fitness and tennis as a fun, healthy recreational activity.
Must hold a PTR or USPTA Level 1 certification or higher.
Availability to a variety of shifts including some a variety of shifts including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000
