Tennis Shop Coordinator

Job Description

The Tennis Shop Manager will support the Racquets Director on day-to-day activities and provide elevated experience for PCC members and guests.  The Shop Manager reports to The Racquets Director and is a key contributor to the overall success of the Tennis & Pickleball department.  This role will be a key point of contact for PCC members and guests for court reservations, events, team uniforms and tennis shop experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manage Tennis Shop

Provide outstanding customer service for PCC Members and Guests Lead and manage the shop apparel receiving, inventory; and merchandise displays; partner with Troon and PCC Accounting to manage the process Coordinate the apparel embroidery drop off, pick up and invoicing Greet members in person, answer the team shop phone and provide excellent service by booking courts for members, helping members sign up for events, taking messages, etc. Tennis merchandise sales and merchandise display design Keep shop clean and organized, keep fridge stocked Manage part-time shop staff and provide daily direction for tasks that need to be completed; onboard and train new part-time staff as needed Setup and replenish water station cups, towels on courts, etc.

Court Reservations

Support the Director, Tennis & Pickleball Professionals, PCC tennis team and PCC members in managing, booking and communicating the court reservations for clinics, lessons, home matches

Events

In conjunction with the Director and the Tennis & Pickleball Committee, lead the annual Member-Member and Member-Guest tournaments Order food and beverage for home tennis matches; coordinate with team captains Partner with Firebirds Nest to ensure there is childcare available for all PCC sponsored tennis clinics, events, matches, etc.

Communication

Support and elevate existing communication schedule and content; including but not limited to email newsletters, social media, PCC member app, flyers, etc. Manage Tennis & Pickleball Distribution Lists Ensure Tennis & Pickleball Calendar is up to date, on website and app Research, implement and manage text reminder technology for clinic reminders, court assignments, etc. Attend monthly Tennis & Pickleball Committee meetings

Team Uniforms

In coordination with Troon, manage and coordinate the team uniform offering for all PCC tennis teams

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field such as marketing, communication, business administration is preferred 2-5 years of relevant experience in an executive administration assistant role with event management background; sales and merchandising experience a plus At least 2 years prior experience managing team members Project management certification is a plus

Preferred Skills:

This position requires a sense of urgency at providing the highest level of customer service while being able to multitask and delegate tasks to their team members Technologically savvy; proficient in Microsoft office, email and social media applications Knowledge of Tennis or Pickleball is helpful High energy with a positive attitude a must
