Tenure Stream Assistant Professor of Political Science, American Politics

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-stream, position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Political Science beginning in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Political Science with a focus on American Politics open to specialization. Responsibilities for the position include teaching 12 credits (usually four courses) each semester, in person, and on campus. Courses to be regularly taught include introductory American Politics, Research Methods, Senior Capstone, and other courses based on the specialization of the instructor which could include the presidency, congress, voting behavior, elections, state and local government, and others. Collegiate-level teaching experience is preferred. Additional expectations of the position include advising and mentoring of students, service to the campus and university, and a successful record of scholarship and professional development.
