OVERVIEW The Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing (SON) in the Morrison Family College of Health at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, invites applicants for three tenure-track assistant professor positions. We seek applicants who are committed to teaching excellence, both within a traditional BSN and accelerated pre-licensure MSN program. The successful applicant will teach a range of nursing courses. Current needs include subject matter expertise in Psychiatric Nursing, Maternal-Child Nursing, or a Medical-Surgical Nursing background. Faculty also provide academic advising to students and participate in service activities in the school, college, and university. The standard teaching load for this position is six courses in an academic year. The successful Tenure track applicant will develop and pursue an active research or scholarship agenda, and all areas of nursing research/scholarship will be considered. We seek candidates who are committed to fostering inclusive learning environments, interested in working as part of an interprofessional team, and eager to develop a scholarly agenda that engages students in meaningful ways. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications: + PhD (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Nursing or closely related field, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent); Equivalent); Completion of all coursework with dissertation in progress will also be considered + Alternatively, a candidate with an EdD, PhD in an area unrelated to Nursing is acceptable if the candidate holds a bachelor's or master/s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Nursing. + Must be eligible for RN licensure in the state of Minnesota. + Evidence of teaching effectiveness in a higher education setting or as a clinical educator within a care setting. + The capacity to conduct and disseminate peer-reviewed research and/or scholarship, with the potential to develop a robust research agenda at the University of St. Thomas.
