The Department of Molecular Pathobiology at New York University (NYU) Dentistry seeks applications at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor for a tenure track research-focused position in the area of Metabolism and Inflammation, or related disciplines such as Cell Signaling and Physiology. The Department of Molecular Pathobiology has a strong and rapidly expanding research program with substantial support from the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and Foundations. The Department is located in state-of-the-art laboratories in close proximity to the broader NYU research community. Research in the Department focuses on understanding normal human biology as well as disease through studies of molecules, cells, tissues, and systems, as well as the engineering aspects of life science and medicine. Current interests include: studies of the molecular mechanisms and treatment of chronic pain; metabolic and inflammatory diseases; cell signaling; and biomaterials, 3-D printed scaffolds, tissue engineering, developmental biology and AI linked diagnostics. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for the rank of Assistant Professor on the tenure track is $140K - $210K & for the rank of Associate Professor on the tenure track is $135K - $225K.
