Tenure Track Faculty Position in Medicine - Senior ranks
The Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate Professor or Full Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an MD or PhD or MD/PhD degrees. ABIM certification in internal medicine or its specialties is required. Teaching responsibilities may include teaching students, residents, and fellows while engaged in clinical activities and/or serving as lecturer for divisional and/or school educational programs. Clinical responsibilities may include working in the outpatient clinics and as an attending on the inpatient service within the Health System and/or VA Medical Center (PVAMC). Research or scholarship responsibilities may include any aspect of basic science, clinical, health policy, or health services research. The successful candidate should demonstrate a productive track record. The successful applicant will be expected to establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from government agencies, private foundations, and industry. There will be an expectation of the ability of the candidate to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience. Selected applicants will hold an academic appointment in the Department of Medicine within the division(s) of his/her specialty.
